ceramitec network to meet again in Munich

July 13, 2021
  • ceramitec conference in Munich from September 15–16, 2021
  • With accompanying exhibition
  • Focus on industrial applications

Finally, networking on site again: after the positive signal from the Bavarian State Chancellery, trade shows are to be possible again in Bavaria from September 1, 2021. So, the ceramics industry does not have to wait until next year when the ceramitec trade fair will take place: the ceramitec conference with accompanying exhibition will be held at the exhibition center from September 15 to 16, 2021.

“At last we can offer our customers the opportunity to exchange ideas face to face at our exhibition center,” explains Dr. Robert Schönberger, Exhibition Group Director ceramitec. “The conference perfectly bridges the time until the ceramitec trade fair which was postponed to next year. During this difficult time, the need for knowledge transfer is especially high.”
The ceramitec conference addresses not only the ceramics industry, but also industrial users from the automotive, aerospace, electronics, dental and healthcare technology sectors. Over two days and in 25 sessions in 3 forums, 80 experts will highlight the following topics: technical ceramics, additive manufacturing, powder metallurgy, process control, equipment supply and materials. Additionally, around 25 companies—including Cremer Thermoprozessanlagen, ECT-Kema, Lithoz, Maschinenfabik Gustav Eirich, Netzsch Gerätebau and Washington Mills—will present themselves at the accompanying exhibition.

Strong partners for a strong program

The conference program is curated by renowned partners from the ceramitec network: AM Ceramics, the Ceramic Applications network, the Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM) expert group, the Fraunhofer ISC and the Institute of Applied Powder Metallurgy and Ceramics (IAPK). The complete program can already be found on the ceramitec website.

Sophisticated protection and hygiene concept

The Bavarian State government's decision of May 18, 2021 creates a reliable framework for holding the ceramitec conference as a face-to-face event. At the beginning of July already, TrendSet will be held as a pilot event at Messe München. IAA MOBILITY will then be the first major international event in Munich to open its doors on September 7.

The so-called ‘3G rule’ will be an integral part, which applies to all Messe München events: only those vaccinated, recovered or tested (geimpft, genesen, getestet) will have access to the events. Other measures will include distancing rules, special ventilation of exhibition halls, use of FFP2 masks, hygiene precautions, registration and thus traceability of all participants.
