After the hall layout has been planned in autumn 2017 you will receive a stand offer including a hall plan by e-mail. You then have the opportunity, within one week, to confirm the stand offer or to agree an alternative with us. The placement proposal requires written confirmation from the exhibitor; after this has been received by Messe München, the exhibitor can no longer cancel. Should you not wish to accept the stand offer, you can cancel your application free of charge. See “A2 Admission” in section A of the General Terms of Participation.

  • What are the important regulations regarding stand construction that I need to be aware of for ceramitec?

    Halls and general
    Single story construction:
The maximum height of the stand is 7.50 metre.
The upper edge of advertising posters must be no higher than 7.50 metre.

In order to retain the character of ceramitec as a fair for communication and trade, an open stand design must be ensured. If the exhibitor fails to do this to Messe München GmbH's satisfaction, we are authorized to order changes to the stand design. Stand plans can only be approved when the open sides of the stands are designed to be completely open.

Closed walls are permitted if they take up no more than 70 percent of the relevant side of the stand, with a continuous wall no longer than 6 metre. Closed walls longer than 6 metre in length must incorporate an access gap of at least 2 metre. This rule does not apply if a distance of at least 2 metre is maintained from the edge of the stand.

If the rear wall of the trade fair stand is over 2.50 metre, it should be neutral, white, smooth and clean. Only opaque materials that do not let light through (not textiles) are permitted for this. All exhibitors are recommended to erect a dividing wall (2.5 metre in height) on the boundaries to the neighboring stands.

In the case of advertising mounts that extend beyond your own stand walls, a minimum distance of 2 metre must be maintained from the directly neighboring stands. Dividing walls and panels can be ordered in the Exhibitor Shop. Advertising panels may not be fitted with flashing or blinking lights.

It is not permitted to build anything on or over the walkways.

The use of balloons, airships and other flying objects such as drones is strictly forbidden in the halls or exhibition grounds. Exemptions to this will require the prior written approval of the main Technical Exhibitor Service department of Messe München. Approval will be given only for fixed tied balloons. Where approval is granted, the balloons may be filled only with non-combustible and non-toxic gases. It must be ensured at all times that the balloon remains within the boundaries of the stand and maintains a clearance of 2 metre from all sides of the stand, as well as observing the maximum advertising height on the stand of 7.5 metre.

You can find further guidelines on the application form under Point B7 of the Special Terms of Participation and in the Technical Guidelines.

  • When is it necessary to obtain approval of the stand plan from Messe München GmbH?

Approval is required if the stand and advertising height is greater than 3 metre, if the stand area is greater than 100 square metre or if a stand ceiling is present. In such cases, the stand design must be submitted for approval to Messe München GmbH, Technical Exhibitor Services, together with scale stand design plans (floor plan, elevation and cross-section drawings) by March 1, 2018 at the latest.

  • When are the set-up and dismantling times?

Some navigation systems will even allow you to select the relevant entrance at the center from East, West, and North. For ceramitec, you will need to head to the West or East Entrance. Alternatively, you can just put in the “An der Point” address for the West Entrance or “Am Messeturm 4” for the East Entrance.

  • Is vehicular access to the trade fair center available during the period of the fair?

For the whole period of the trade fair (on Friday, April 13, 2018 only until 12:00), it is possible to drive into the grounds for one hour on payment of a deposit of EUR 100.

If you exceed this limit, the deposit will be forfeit and the vehicle will be towed away, for which there will be a charge. You can find more information online about six weeks before the start of the trade fair, in our traffic guide.

  • Where can I find information about my journey to the trade fair?

Whether you're coming by air, by car, by rail or using local public transport, we've put together all the information and research tools you'll need for your travel planning.

  • Where can I find information about accommodation?

Whether you are looking for a hotel, a private room, or an apartment, or need other tips for arranging aspects of your stay that aren't related to trade fair events, we've put together all the information and research tools you'll need.

  • Do I need a visa? If so, how do I go about getting one?

Citizens or visitors from EU member states do not normally require a visa to enter the Federal Republic of Germany. All other participants will without exception require a visa. Your entry ticket is not a substitute for a visa letter of invitation. You can find detailed information about visa applications on our visa service page.

If you have any questions relating to visas, our representative offices abroad are always on hand and happy to help with all your travel arrangements.

  • Who can book advertising and sponsorship for ceramitec 2018?

We are offering the opportunity to book advertising and sponsorship in and around the trade fair center exclusively to exhibitors, co-exhibitors, and exhibitors on joint stands.

  • Where and how do I get publicity as an exhibitor?

When you are registered you receive a basic entry in the official printed trade fair catalog (business name/hall/stand no.), in the online exhibitor database, in the Visit Planner, and on the ceramitec app.

In due course, you will be told about additional paid-for listing options such as your address, company profile, company logo etc., by our catalog publishers, Neureuter Fair Media.

  • Who is the publisher responsible for official ceramitec media?

Exclusive rights to handle inquiries for all entries in the official ceramitec media (online exhibitor directory, catalog, Visit Planner, and ceramitec app) are held by Neureuter Fair Media. All other publishers are unauthorized.

  • Can I carry out promotional activity at the trade fair center outside my own stand?

Promotional teams are strictly not permitted. It is not possible to use stationary or mobile electronic sales and advertising aids, to carry advertising boards or to distribute printed materials, stickers and samples outside the area of the rented stand.

Advertising space and sponsorship can be booked by exhibitor via our Media Sales department.

  • When is the opening event?

Tuesday, April 10, 2018 Time and place are yet to be advised.

All exhibiting companies are warmly invited to attend.

  • Can I be a speaker in the conference program?

We do not offer speaker slots. We are offering exhibitors the opportunity to book conference rooms for their own presentations and events.

Our official supporting program is designed and organized by trade associations, media co-operatives, institutes, and similar trade bodies. Responsibility for choice of coordinators lies with the trade bodies.

The key themes and suppliers will be published online from January 2018 in the conference program section.

  • Will there be WiFi at the trade fair center?

Messe München will be offering free wireless internet access at the trade fair center, but this will only be available in the halls and the atrium area.

Available bandwidth is up to 1.5 Mbit/sec. Availability and reception quality will depend on constructions, exhibits, and other sources of disturbance in the halls, and cannot be guaranteed. Download volumes are limited to 50 MB per user per day.

    This is how it works:

    • Switch on the WiFi function on your terminal device.
    • Search for wireless networks and connect to the messeWifi network.
    • Start your internet browser.
    • Enter any internet address.
    • The portal page of the free WiFi will appear on screen.
    • Once you have accepted the General Terms and Conditions, you may access the internet.

Access to our free WiFi is limited and not guaranteed. If you need the internet to perform business operations without disruption at your stand, we would recommend that you request a LAN connection, for which there is an extra charge.

  • Am I allowed to bring my dog onto the exhibition grounds of Messe München?

No, according to Messe München´s house and user rules it is not allowed to bring animals onto the exhibition grounds with the exception of guide dogs and other assistance dogs.
